Crypta is a Brazilian Death Metal four-piece.

Around May 2019, Luana Dametto and Fernanda Lira founded Crypta, initially aiming it to be just a side project where they could write death metal songs – differently from what they had been doing in their other band. In June of that same year, Dutch guitarist Sonia Anubis (ex-Burning Witches, Cobra Spell) was invited to join the project. With a provisional trio lineup, the band began creating their first songs.
Almost a year later, in April 2020, Brazilian guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi was added to the lineup, consolidating Crypta, finally as a quartet.
That same month, Fernanda and Luana left the band Nervosa, and Crypta became their main project, being officially presented publicly the following month.
Shortly after that, Crypta signed their first record deal with Napalm Records, as well as a booking deal with Napalm Events, finished writing their first songs and soon began the pre-production of their debut album.
In January 2021, they gathered in São Paulo, Brazil, to record their first 'full length', at Family Mob Studio; “Echoes of the Soul” was recorded in 3 weeks, and it was engineered by Otávio Rissato, produced by Thiago Vakka (Fossilization, Jupiterian), mixed by Arthur Rizk and mastered by Jens Bogren, at Fascination Street
